It's Risk, so what more can you say than has not already been said. I have the classic rules edition from 1959 and they have all the ease of use and issues they have always had. The game really takes 4-5 people to shine, and with 4-5 people it also takes forever and as people are eliminated they have nothing to do for a long time.
I thought I had played this game many times, but after careful thought I realized that the last time I played was in high school. After a computer version called "Lux" came out in 2002, I played hundreds of games, and in truth, this works so much better as a computer game. The same with Axis and Allies. Playing against the computer speeds up the gameplay incredibly and with Computer AI you are never left wanting to play a game at 11pm with no one around to play with.

The game is like a slightly more strategic Ticket to Ride, just with dice rolls rather than pulling cards. It was enjoyable, but nothing I was interested in playing multiple times. Having the dice in my favor several times despite fewer troops meant I could keep the occupation going for longer, however eventually regression to the mean happens, and if you don't have enough troops, you will lose. It's a fine game to pass the time, but there are other games in the Game Room I'd rather replay.
